Conditions of use
These conditions cover both sides of the marketplace: the freelancers who sell gigs and the clients who buy them.
Last updated 20 September 2026
These terms describe how anygig actually operates today, including our 10% fee, gig payments and payouts. They are not legal advice: have your own lawyer review them for the countries you trade in before you rely on them.
1. Who we are and what anygig does
anygig is an online marketplace that connects freelancers with clients for virtual gigs and physical local jobs. We provide the platform, the ordering and bidding tools, the payment rails and the wallet. We are not a party to the work itself: the contract for the work is between the freelancer and the client.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate details when you register and keep your login secure. One person or business, one account. You are responsible for everything done through your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these conditions, misleads other members or is used for unlawful activity.
3. For freelancers
You decide what you offer, your rates and your availability, and you keep the rights you already hold in your own tools and know-how. You agree to describe your gigs honestly, to deliver within the timescale shown on the order, to communicate through anygig and to hold any licences, insurance or qualifications your work requires. You work as an independent contractor, not as our employee or agent.
Unless you and the client agree otherwise in writing, the client receives the finished deliverables for their own use once the order is paid in full.
4. For clients
You agree to describe your brief accurately, to give the freelancer the access, content and feedback they reasonably need, and to pay for accepted work. Accepting a bid or placing an order creates a binding commitment to pay the amount shown, including our fee.
5. Gigs, briefs and bids
A client can order a published gig directly, send a custom gig request, or post a brief for freelancers to bid on. A bid is an offer. When a client accepts it, anygig creates the order with the agreed price and delivery time, and payment becomes due.
6. Fees
anygig charges a service fee of 10% of the gig value. The fee is shown on the order and on the invoice before payment, is deducted from the amount credited to the freelancer, and is non-refundable once work has been delivered and accepted.
Half of our annual profit is shared with freelancers who complete more than 25 jobs in the year, as described on our collective page. Qualification is assessed on completed, undisputed gigs in the calendar year, and the ten freelancers with the most completed work receive 25% more. The pool, the qualifying criteria and each share are calculated by anygig, are paid into the freelancer's anygig wallet once approved, and create no right to any fixed amount.
7. Payments, wallets and payouts
Clients pay through our payment provider. Funds for an order are held until the work is marked delivered, then credited to the freelancer's anygig wallet net of our fee.
A freelancer may withdraw a cleared wallet balance to a bank account held in their own name. The minimum withdrawal is 20 in the wallet currency; transfers are normally released within two working days, and any bank or intermediary charges are deducted from the amount sent. We may hold or reverse a payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, chargeback risk or a breach of these conditions, and we will tell you why.
8. Delivery, cancellations and refunds
Freelancers mark work delivered through the order page. A client who believes the work was not delivered as described may open a refund request on the order. If a refund is agreed or we decide in the client's favour, the amount is returned to the client's wallet and the order is cancelled. Consumers keep any statutory cancellation rights that apply where they live.
9. Disputes
Raise a problem with the other party first through the order chat. If that does not resolve it, open a dispute on the order. We will look at the brief, the messages and the delivered work, and may refund, split or decline the claim. Our decision on the use of the platform's funds is final, which does not stop either party pursuing their own legal remedies.
10. Conduct and prohibited use
Do not take payments outside anygig for work found here, post misleading listings or reviews, scrape the platform, infringe anyone's rights, or use anygig for anything illegal. Reviews must reflect genuine experience of real orders.
11. Liability
We provide the platform as it is and do not guarantee a particular outcome, income or quality of work. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees we received on the order in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes, termination and contact
We may update these conditions and will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. You can close your account at any time; orders and payments already in progress continue to be governed by these conditions. Questions about this page can be sent to our support address.
